Jennah & her Daughter

Our dear friend Jennah and her daughter are in need of emotional and financial support as Jennah navigates separating from an abusive relationship with her daughter’s father. She has been granted a temporary Protective Order and has a hearing on January 9 to determine extension of the PO and custody of her daughter. She is in need of immediate financial help to retain a lawyer by January 2, and will likely need ongoing help with lawyer fees, moving expenses, housing costs, etc. to get her on her feet.

Jennah has been dealing with the complexities of separating from this type of traumatic relationship while financially dependent on her daughter’s father. As some may know, dealing with this type of separation from an abusive partner is full of threats, physical and emotional consequences and control, disallowing her to fend for herself financially at this time.

The friends putting this fund together can attest to Jennah’s strength and capability as a Mother. We have watched her raise her daughter with grace amidst the trauma she’s enduring and our hope is to raise funds to support her with legal protection and in finding a safe place for her and her daughter to live.
