Jenn Greel for City Council Campaign

Hello Everyone,

I have started this fundraiser to raise money for my campaign for the next Nov 3rd 2020 election. Donate what you can it will go towards making signs, introduction letters to the community, creating a website, and spreading awareness about my campaign.

Making the decision to run for City Council and to have the opportunity to be elected as a chair member is making the decision to be directly involved with the politics of the city I have lived for the past 8 years. The effects of Covid-19 is putting every city into an economic crisis. I would love to be the advocate for the next generation for change within the city of El Cerrito. The city of El Cerrito has a 40 million dollar budget each year and the majority of this budget is allocated to our Police Department, and Fire Department. Meanwhile instead of figuring out how to control those costs the city is looking to decrease the amount of hours the public library is open as a minimal option of redirecting/cutting public funding. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are allocated away from the art in the community, which I would love to have more involvement with. I am in support of the another main portion of the budget being allocated for maintaining our streets and our community as a whole. The time for change is now, and I am trying to do my part by getting directly involved in city politics.
