Hot Girl Fire Squad is a fierce fire performance collective based in Washington, DC that is committed to representing our city with power, precision, and unmatched fire artistry.

After over 15 weeks of dedication, creativity, and countless hours training with passion and purpose,, HGFS has officially been accepted into the 2025 Burning Man Fire Conclave; the largest and most iconic fire performance gathering in the world! ✨

Now, we’re asking for your support to help us secure the resources and equipment we'll need to survive a week in the desert. One of the core Principles of Burning Man is "Radical Self Reliance,"' which means each individual is responsible for bringing everything they need to survive; including food , water and shelter. Below is an overview of some of the expenses we all have to incur.

•Tickets: Burning Man tickets themselves can range from $550 to $3,000, depending on the tier purchased. There are also reduced-price tickets available for individuals facing financial hardship, costing $225 plus fees.

•Vehicle Pass: A vehicle pass, required for every vehicle entering Black Rock City, costs $150.

•Transportation: Travel costs will depend on your starting location and mode of transport. Flying to Reno and then renting a vehicle can add significantly to the expense.

•Camping/Lodging: Open camping is free, but if you join a theme camp, you'll likely incur camp dues, which can range from free to $5,000 or more depending on the amenities provided.

•Food and Water: Budgeting for food and water is crucial for self-reliance in the desert environment. A budget of around $100 per week for food and water is a reasonable estimate.

•Supplies: Survival supplies like shade structures, sleeping gear, dust masks, goggles, and toiletries can add up. A used bicycle is highly recommended for navigating Black Rock City, and can be purchased for around $100.

•Other Potential Costs: Consider additional expenses like costumes, gifts to share (a core principle of Burning Man), and post-event cleanup costs.

•Missing work: We will all have to miss considerable days at work, and this would help supplement that lost income.

We've encountered every obstacle imaginable on this journey; from losing multiple members just days before our audition, to getting rained out on our shoot date. We weathered every storm (no pun intended) and we have a phenomenal show and an acceptance letter to show for it.

Our name started as an ironic name to serve as a temporary stand in, but as time went on, it became more and more fitting; but not for the reasons you may think. We're hot because of our tenacity, audacity and resilience. We had every curve ball thrown at us and we burned right through them.
