Jeaneta mamica, mamaie & bunica

It is difficult to summarize in a few sentences my grandmas life and the essence of who she was and continues to be to us for the rest of our lives. Please forgive me as I try to find the words as we are still trying to figure out the recent events. To most, my grandma was known as Doamna Jeni or Jeaneta. To her family, she was mama, Mamaia (grandma) or Buni (greatgrandma). She worked hard her whole life to ensure that her family was taken care of and that she helped everyone she could find ways of helping. Her fate was always strong and her love for her family is the kind of love that could take your breath away. We are distraught over her passing. She impressed and surprised even the doctors and nurses with her strength and fight. She fought so hard to come home and to help bring us closure, allowing us to spend as much time with her as her body could handle. We are currently working on planning the funeral and services for her remembrance. She never wished for anything other than health for her family. We would like to honor her by following the Romanian and religious traditions that she has known her whole life. Even though she deserves so much more than we could ever give her, we are simply hoping to respectfully honor her and give her a peaceful resting place. We weren’t ready for any of the planning and expenses associated with these life events and held on to hope that she was going to come back home to us. Asking for any help with the funeral and burial expenses is not something I wanted to do or have ease doing but it’s not about our pride anymore, it’s about my grandma. Prayers are most needed as we are experiencing such great loss. If you can help with the expenses or funeral in any way, please know our gratitude and will be forever grateful.
