Jayden Can See

See Well To Learn provides free vision screening, eye exams, and glasses to low income pre-schoolers in the Bay Area. Providing these kids with proper vision care is vital to their brain development and learning at school.

To encourage kids to wear their glasses, we recommend parents to read them books about glasses positivity. However, many books are not at a pre-school reading level and are actually centered around bullying kids with glasses.

Jessica, Tori, and I decided to take matters into our own hands and create our own book. “Jayden Can See” focuses on the benefits of wearing glasses, in a fun way. We want kids to understand that glasses are great and help them see the world. 

We will be providing a digital copy of this book to kids who receive glasses through the SWTL program. However, many of these families do not have access to computers (and no kids want to read books on screens anyways!).

With $2,200, we will be able to print and ship 250 books for our SWTL kids. We truly believe with the help of friends and family, we'll be able to raise the funds needed to make this happen.
