Help For a Wildland Firefighter

My husband, Jason Hilley was trained four years ago to fight Wildland fires.  The last three years he has served along side great men and women fighting four of the wildfires out west.  He has protected Oregon, Washington, California, and Idaho.
  Jason loves his job.  Unfortunately, the position is not full time and he doesn't receive the great government benefits that generally go with government employment.  
   The last fire Jason fought was out of range of cell service.  We didn't get to speak often, or for very long.  He was gone 22 days.  On one of the conversations he told me he needed surgery.  I knew he had a tiny hernia when he left.  I knew it must be bad for him to mention.  Jason is not a complainer. 
  Before Jason left his transmission went out in his car.  I changed jobs earlier in the year so I could afford to go back to school for Massage Therapy.  That job didn't work out, but Jason was going to pick up extra work so that I could pursue my career.  That is supposed to happen in January.  But now he is unable to do that.
  We have been praying about the situation.  Our faith family has loaned us a vehicle to get us both to work, they have made generous donations toward the surgery.  We are almost half way there! In 2 weeks! God is good! 
   Jason and I both have servants hearts.  This is difficult to ask for help.  We prefer to help others.  But we have humbled ourselves and are now reaching out.  
  The total needed for the surgery, transportation, lodging, my time off work, and medication is 5,000.  Our faith family has raised 2,350.  So the remainder is 2,650.
