Jasmine's Incredible Fight With Leukemia

Hi, my name is Shelby and I am starting this fundraiser for Jasmine Acton. I have been in Jasmine's life from the day she was born and I saw her develop into an enthusiastic, and active 7 year old who couldn't go three steps without pulling off a perfect cartwheel. This all started to change in December of 2020, when we assumed she had sprained her ankle. Little did we know this would be the start of a five month journey involving countless doctor/hospital visits, physical therapy appointments, and finally a long 2 week stay at U of M where Jasmine would be diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). In just five months Jasmine went from an extremely active lifestyle to not even being able to turn over in bed on her own. Jasmine was not able to function daily without assistance which was heartbreaking for everyone in her life to see. Jasmine was diagnosed with leukemia April 30th 2021 and this date would mark the start of her 3 year treatment journey. So far she has endured 6 months of treatment which involves at least 1-2 trips to the hospital a week. Through all these hardships Jasmine has still continued to remain positive and strong. She manages to be the light in a dark situation and truly embodies the #jasminestrong mentality. Every day she inspires and amazes me with her approach to her illness. The donations from this fundraiser will go to Jasmine's mommy to help with Jasmine's treatment, and take away some of the financial hardships that come with this long and intense treatment process. It's important Jasmine's family can focus on her getting better and kicking cancer's butt! Thank you to all who have been apart of her journey for the past 5 months.
