Last Saturday evening, Jared had a terrible stroke. Thankfully, Mel & Stan were home with him.. they hurried & got him in the car themselves.. drove him to Norton, where he received TPA & regained function on his left side after losing all control & movement~ from Norton; they flew him to Hays. Unfortunately, on Monday~ he had increased swelling in his brain stem & the decision was made to fly him to KC to KU Med. His balance is off due to where the stroke was located & he is unable to walk alone. In addition, he suffers from continuous headaches & dizziness. He will have lots of PT & will be off of work for quite some time. When he comes home (unknown at this time), he will have to have 24-hour supervision due to high fall risk & unsteady on his feet. He has a long road ahead of him.

Mel & Jerad still have two boys at home. I am sure the medical bills are adding up & with them not being able to work~ I am sure it's added stress taking everything on. Mel has been a very dear friend to me for many years & I am asking if you can please donate to their family for medical & travel expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.
