The Old Legs Tour Janse Grobler Everest Challenge

 

Meet Janse Grobler, aged 78. He needs help climbing his Mt Everest.

 

 

Janse needs a new knee. His old knee has been bone on bone with zero cartilage for two years now. He can’t walk and lives in constant pain. Because of complications , his knee replacement will cost $14000. Janse says he has much chance of climbing Mt Everest as he has of raising the money.

 

Not long ago, Janse was a successful farmer in Zimbabwe but lost everything when the government grabbed his farm, leaving him without a home, and without an income. Alas.

 

The Old Legs Tour heard about Janse’s plight and to help him raise the money needed for his operation, they are going to climb the equivalent of Mt Everest - 8849 meters - on mountain bikes, in just 3 days in October.
