Janet's Surgery Fund

Janet has been an influential and important part of my life both in my career and personally. 

Recently she has been diagnosed as being in the last stage of ovarian pre-cancer and is scheduled to undergo major surgery right before Christmas at UI Hospital. Her home recovery time is estimated to be 4-6 weeks.

I am sending this out to you without her knowledge, as I’d like to surprise her and be able to help her out as much as possible.

Since she is an independent contractor, I don’t want her to worry about money while she’s supposed to rest and recover, especially during the holidays. So, I’m writing to you to see if you could make a small donation to help cover her bills and expenses for the 4-6 weeks as well as transportation down and back to UIC oncology for the surgery and follow-up appointments.
