Jamie Ellwood’s Brain Tumour Proton Therapy

Donation protected

Jamie is an amazing, normal 18 year old lad, who has just been diagnosed with an extremely rare Primary Brain Tumour.

Following feeling unwell with headaches and
blurred vision, he was admitted to hospital only a few weeks ago, and is now facing
groundbreaking Proton Therapy in Germany for 7 weeks to treat his head and spine, all starting
in the next few weeks!

Prior to this Jamie will have to have several tests
and visit Germany to have the specific
radiotherapy mask made to use for his specific
machine.

Both Jamie and his family have understandably had to put their entire lives on hold, in order to
face this battle ahead, but the future is looking
positive, through the availability of this
treatment.

Jamie has recently finished his A-levels at
Fairfax School
in Sutton Coldfield and is a team member for Tesco’s.

In his spare time he is an avid and current Team GB - Under 19 Paintball member, recently
representing them internationally in
Amsterdam,  whilst playing domestically for
Staffordshire and District Paintball Club.

We are hoping to help raise some money to
support Jamie’s whole family through this
difficult time.

Both parents are having to give up work in order to travel and stay with Jamie during his
treatment and recovery.
This is particularly costly as his dad is
self-employed and mum has only recently
started a new job. His younger brother will also have to travel with them during the school
holidays. Jamie has also had to take medical
leave from work, and surrender his driving
licence.

Any money raised will be given directly to the
family
to help cover any expenses for travel,
accommodations and living expenses during
treatment and during his recovery afterwards.

Anyone who knows the Ellwoods, knows they
would be the first to help out if someone else
was in a similar situation. We can’t change what
is happening, but we can alleviate financial
worries, so they can concentrate on Jamie and
have one less thing to think about.

Please donate anything you can afford, it’s a
parents worse nightmare to have to go through
this, and for Jamie to lose his independence and
income as he has just started his adult life,
so any support at all will be grateful received!
