On Friday, June 17th, 2022, James Nelson passed away in a car accident. This is a tragic, unexpected loss, and he did not have any end-of-life arrangements planned.
James has had a massive impact on so many people–from the snowboarding community and his Mount St Louis family to the longboarding community and the Super Mellow Beach Cruisers. Those of us who were lucky enough to laugh with James know what a tragic loss this is.
James was a fun-loving, deep belly laughing, beard blowing in the wind, ready-to-shred adrenaline junkie... but he was always a father first. There was nothing in the world that mattered to him more than his 2 daughters.
James did not have any benefits or life insurance, and his daughters Mack (21) and Brie (26) don't have the financial means to cover his end-of-life arrangements alone. Any support you can provide to help his daughters as they lay their father to rest is greatly appreciated.
The money from this GoFundMe will go directly towards his cremation and the celebration of his life. We are still sorting out the date and location of his celebration of life and will send out more details soon.
