Jake’s ISTA journey
Spende geschützt
Hi everyone,
My name is Jake, and if you’re reading this, chances are you already know me—and if not you are about to! Over the past two years, I’ve been on a journey of deep self-discovery and spiritual awakening. This path has brought me closer to myself, my purpose, and the beautiful communities I’ve been privileged to be a part of.
Through heart-centered exploration, I’ve immersed myself in conscious communities here in Ottawa, shared transformative spaces at men’s groups and temples, and participated in the amazing Toronto Tantra Fest for the past two years. These experiences have opened my heart and sparked a longing to dive even deeper into my soul work.
Since coming into this work I've dreamed of attending an ISTA training—a space many of my dearest friends describe as profoundly life-changing. I'm looking for a powerful rite of passage into deeper layers of self-awareness, connection, and purpose. And now, the opportunity has arrived: ISTA is hosting a training in Nicaragua this January, and my soul brother will be assisting at the event. This feels like the perfect alignment—an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect in a place that holds so much meaning for both of us.
Here’s the thing: I’ve worked hard to save for an experience like this because I believe in the value of investing in myself. I can cover the costs of the training now—but doing so would stretch me thin for the rest of the winter, leaving me worried about managing my living expenses. I'm a seasonal worker, and this year was slower than usual - so my income was not what I am used to.
So, I’m reaching out to my community with humility and vulnerability to ask for your support in making this dream a reality.
This isn’t about having the whole trip paid for. I’ve already committed my own resources because I know how important this is for my growth. But I also recognize the power of community and the courage it takes to ask for help when it’s needed. Your contributions would ease the financial burden and allow me to fully embrace this opportunity without sacrificing stability over the winter months. I'm sure some of you can relate to these feelings.
If you feel called to contribute—even just a few dollars—it would mean the world to me. Every bit helps, and your generousity will ripple out far beyond this trip. The growth and learning I bring back from this experience will pour into the communities I cherish and the spaces I share with others. My intention is to use this training to continue my growth, and support me in continuing to give back to the world.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being part of my journey, whether through a donation, sharing this campaign, or simply holding this vision with me. Your support reminds me of the beauty of vulnerability and the power of asking for help.
With deep gratitude,
Jake
