Hi, my name is Sophia, and I'm raising funds on behalf of my brother-in-law, George Slawter — a US Navy Veteran who is a kind, devoted husband and loving father to two young little girls. George is more than just a proud girl dad; he is someone who is always there for those he loves and jumps at the opportunity to help out. Yet, he's someone who now needs our help more than ever.

Recently, George experienced a traumatic injury during a violent incident which resulted in George being admitted into the ICU of the hospital with a fractured spine that nearly left him paralyzed and unable to work. Even more heartbreaking, his daughters had to witness the incident and are currently missing their daddy.

This has been a deeply traumatic experience for the entire family. George just endured an emergency spinal surgery and now faces a long and painful recovery; not to mention the emotional toll of healing both physically and mentally, the financial strains of not being able to provide for his family — all while trying to stay strong for his little girls.

George has always been the rock of his family — a God fearing Navy vet who has provided, protected and put his children first as well as this country. But now, he needs our help.

With mounting medical bills, the cost of surgery, and everyday expenses piling up, George and his family are struggling just to get by. Being out of work means no income, and as a father of two small children, the pressure is immense.
