Blindness Awareness

October is Blindness Awareness Month and October 15th each year is nationally recognized as White Cane Safety Day! Houston White Cane Safety Day promotes awareness and understanding of persons with vision loss and blindness who travel with the white cane, while celebrating their accomplishments and independence! During the past two years the event was changed to virtual instead of in-person. This year Houston White Cane Safety Day is returning in-person and all donations will go into providing food / water, for participants, door prizes, grand prize, signage, photo booth, face painting, and essentials (germX, gloves, like items) Houston White Cane Safety Day has been successful thanks to amazing partners, volunteers, and community. Please join us in helping make this year’s event better than ever!
