Hi my name is kalem.

Thanks for taking a second to look at this for me.

i have a serious congenital heart defect. called a double inlet left ventricle. It means my heart doesn't have enough pumps and Chambers to function how it should. My condition is life threatening and life limiting, and will result in a transplant. I like to say I was born special. As a result I tire easily, my lips go blue, I have high levels of anxiety as a standard. Also my parents have to watch my temperature in bed as I fit due to overheating, which comes as part of my condition. It's very serious.

Since the age of 9 hours old I was rushed in for my first operation and have had numerous since on my heart since and eyes as I also have just had my double catteracts done.
I have another operation to go and is 2 to 3 years over due because of covid and our living conditions. This will basically have my lungs circulate the blood around the bottom half of my body to relieve the stress with my heart doing the top half.

Due to my illness I struggle to live a full healthy life and cannot make the stairs in my own home and have been forced to sleep down stairs in the back room with my parents with no wash facilitys. I cannot even get to my room with my brother and sisters to play.

I cannot have a stairlift as I also suffer from autism and adhd and my occupational therapist thinks it's not suitable incase I hurt myself.

I NEED MY NEXT OPERATION ASAP BUT HAS BEEN PUT OFF DUE TO MY CAPACITY TO REST AND RECOVER FROM THIS HEART SURGERY IN MY CURRENT HOME. PLUS IS TOO SMALL AND IS JUST NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

My parents have gone to numerous organisations for help, I have friends such as my occupational therapist, surgeons and specialists stating that I need a bungalow.
The problem is our areas council have not got the properties and have told me its going to be years before one may come up as they Do not have any built yet.

My sister Arianna who is 9 is also poorly and suffers from Charkot Marie tooth disease, a neurological disorder that effects her bones tenant's and growth. She struggles with stairs too. She has also had her friends from hospitals and organisations backing she needs a bungalow too. She cannot walk far and is always in pain due to this.

Our old home we moved from last year, we were moved from with immediate affect as the landlord had work done and was condemned straight after due to not having lintels put in when opening walls up for access. This nearly caused the upstairs of the house to fall on top of us. With the skirting in the bedroom sliding under the floor boards . With us moving immediately our things got locked in our house at the time. Our landlord or council failed to secure our things in the house till we got accommodated we lost everything, this was after 5 weeks of homeless Ness and 1 weeks sleeping rough in our car as the council couldn't provide us with immediate temporary accomodation. We where them moved into a guest house for a month. Which wasnt ideal as it was all upstairs and with no heating and single pained windows was freezing. Not ideal. With us being in the guest house for so long my parents put a complaint in with the local council and after 3 months it was upheld in our favour. Although the outcome was a written apology. They still cannot find us anywhere that is suitable.
We have tried parliament also in our area who have stated there is just no propertys with the council.
My mam and dad. Managed to get us into a private rented house, where we currently are as we were desperate.
Our tenancy is up and landlord wants the house back to sell it on.
Upon moving into this property the council promised the landlord that our bond would be paid by them self's. Which it wasn't and has caused my parents to struggle to pay it off. They don't work as they look after me and my sister you see.  After replacing everything we lost in our original home we have nothing left at all.

Our home at present I cannot make the stairs so I sleep down stairs and my sisters bedroom is tiny at only 45 sq ft they have to climb through their bunk beds to enter ther bedroom causing my sister to cry on a night in pain with it flareing her cmt up in pain.
The old back boiler and windows are making us freezing and too costly to heat up.
We have been advised to go private until a bungalow comes up, but have been advised this is going to take years.

We need a private rented bungalow till hopefully my council can have something aranged for me. AS years and years of wait isn't an option at all for my health in my current home. I haven't got the time to wait I need my operation and our family's stress to stop with housing. I want to be able to play in my own bedroom with my big bro and 2 sisters.
We are so un happy, ran down and physically and mentally drained from all this.

If anyone can please help me find a home please I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for reading.

Kalem.
