Izzy’s Cancer Journey

Since Izzy was diagnosed, her and her family have enjoyed lots of adventures together, making many treasured memories. 

Izzy responded well to the radiation therapy which ended in November last year and started a clinical trial in January. These combined gave her and her family many precious months where life became a little more normal and they got out and about, traveling in their caravan and making the most of every day. 

In mid June, the family met with Izzy’s Doctor and they were told that the treatments were no longer being effective and the tumor had started to grow. Unfortunately DIPG tumors are extremely aggressive and the growth of its return has been rapid. The family are now enjoying the last few weeks they have left with their precious little girl. 

Many friends, family and people in our community have expressed wanting to help in some way. While money will not take away the pain of losing a Izzy, it will relieve the pressure of daily household expenses and allow them to make more memories together.
