Iwo Trio Marine Veterans

Donation protected
My friend, Bob, is a 93 year old, wounded Marine veteran of Iwo Jima.  He served again in Korea.
He is currently the Chaplain of MOPH Chaptern 0823, VFW Post 2811, Marine Corps League Detachment 990, and the Korean War Veterans Association, to name a few.
Many years ago, he and two other survivors of the battle started a group they aptly named the "Iwo Trio".
The basic goal was to promote patriotism respect for the American flag. They would meet the 1st Tuesday of the month, hear guest speekers, sing patriotic songs, and pass around a jar to collect money to help the local "Young Marines" detachment (which, Bob helped start).
Each December, the Iwo Trio gives a check for $1000 to the Commander of the detachment and a $100 bill to the Young Marine of the year.
Unfortunately, attendance is down at the Iwo Trio meetings, mostly due to attrition. (The median age of it's attendees is about 75-80)
These Young Marines are very important to Bob. They reresent the future. These kids are taught respect, discipline and patriotism, three things our youth need more of in America today.
Please help me help Bob and his kids.
Oh. The picture? Bob, discussing tactics with 4 Star General Paxson, the Assistant Comandant of the USMC at the Pentagon. (He cut short a briefing to come and meet Bob!)
I'm a twice wounded Vietnam vet and Bob has become my closest friend.
Thanks for helping him out.
