IVF Treatment for the Browns due to Endometriosis

Hello everyone, Thank you for taking the time out to read our story,

My Name is Rachel and in 2009 I was diagnosed with Endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Endometriosis can affect women of any age. It's a long-term condition that can have a significant impact on your life, but there are treatments that can help. but there is no cure.
Symptoms of endometriosis include pain in your lower tummy or back (pelvic pain), severe period pain and pain during or after sex.

Since being diagnosed with Endometriosis I have had 11 operations to remove endometriosis fibroids and cyst. approximately 1 every year. There are 4 stages of endometriosis and right now I am at stage 4 (severe) My last operation I had I was told that they were unable to do anything as the endometriosis had gone to my right ovary and they didn't want to effect my fertility.

In march 2018 I Met my now husband Jerome, he loved me despite of my condition, despite of what that meant for him having children in the future, he just loved me! I have never felt so safe and secure around anyone else or so accepted. 4 months after we got married I had my final operation and they told us that it was unlikely we would have a baby naturally. That broke our hearts all our hopes were shattered in that one appointment. They Advised us that we would need specialist treatment IVF to conceive a child. Because we were trying for a baby I had to come off all of my hormone medication which was helping to ease my symptoms. Right now I am only taking pain relief which does nothing for the growth and spreading of my endometriosis. In order to have this baby I have to grin and bare the excruciating pain that I have on a daily basis but especially on my menstrual cycles, I have had to go into A&E to try and get the pain under control. I refuse to go back on hormones even if their is only a small chance of us conceiving naturally at least I can say I tried everything I could to have a baby.

Since the Coronavirus pandemic all Nhs fertility clinics in our area are not accepting new patients. unless we go private. I have been in severe pain for over a year now but I cannot do anything about it unless I want to miss the chance of having a baby. And due to the Pandemic I will most likely have to be in pain for another year as not only are the NHS not seeing patients right now but the waiting list are extremely long. Because of my Endometriosis and where it is (ovaries and uterus are stuck to my stomach wall ) I will most likely need more than 1 round of IVF so we are hoping to get a package deal of unlimited IVF for the year.

I have always wanted to be a mother and now I have found that perfect partner to do all of this with, He is everything to me and I so desperately want to be able to give him this. My endometriosis has decided to go even more out of control but we really want to be able to fill our house with love and laughter and raise great children to contribute to our world. Every Little helps and we appreciate anything that anyone can do for us to at least get us started as right now I'm unable to work because of the daily pain I get. But I'm not giving up, once I manage to have a child I will have my hysterectomy and begin to rebuild my life as a family.

Even if I don't make this goal I would be happy that I was able to raise awareness for Endometriosis and I hope this story and my story will be able to help you.
Please if you recognise any of the symptoms in my story seek medical help and keep fighting . There will always be a reason for pain you just have to find the right support please watch my video for more information https://youtu.be/mwZwHn0Ar7A https://youtu.be/mwZwHn0Ar7A

Thank you to all who have taken the time out to read this story May God continue to bless you all
