Itty Bitty's Tripod Surgery Fundraiser

Hello, my friends! My poor Itty Bitty girl suffered a femur fracture when she was a kitten (about 1/2 months old). The incredible rescue I adopted her from allowed it to heal naturally without doing any surgeries to fix it since she was so little, hoping it wouldn’t cause her any issues in the future.

Unfortunately, her leg was not healed well enough and was pretty fragile, so when she jumped off our cat tree yesterday (that she jumps off of all the time), she suffered a really severe femur fracture again on the same leg.

The best course of action - to both heal it and make sure she wouldn't suffer further leg problems - was to amputate her leg and make her a tripod kitty. She had her surgery last night and it went well, but unfortunately, the cost of the surgery and her initial veterinary intake to figure out what was wrong with her - were pretty high.

Altogether, her veterinary care and surgery costs were over $4000. I wasn't able to get a payment plan since she needed to get the surgery immediately, so I had to pay out-of-pocket. I have pet insurance but because she broke the same leg that she broke when she was a kitten, my insurance won’t cover any of the care costs.

So, although it makes me insanely uncomfortable, I am asking for help fundraising to get at least some of the money back to cover the costs. It makes me so sad to ask for help with something like this, especially when it all happened so suddenly. Literally anything you can give will help me and Itty Bitty (and her lesbian ex-girlfriend/my other special needs cat, Echo) tremendously.
