It is not my option

Hello, my name is Khalil Abu Teir, a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip, from the city of Khan Yunis. I am 21 years old, a football player in the Khan Yunis Football Association. My dream, like any other player's dream, is to be part of international teams, but all the stadiums were destroyed. I also study at Al-Azhar University and lost my education due to the destruction of educational facilities.

Dear friends,

I stand before you as someone trying to keep his family together. We are trying to survive in the miserable conditions of tents. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. No food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, oppression, helplessness, psychological pressure, doubt, and the daily trauma of losing loved ones. In Gaza, it is not just hunger, sickness, and fear; it means actual death.

My family and I were displaced from our destroyed home and now we live in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis.

My family and I have endured extraordinary hardships in a short time. Our lives have been turned upside down by the ongoing violence in Gaza. Before this latest attack, I played soccer for the Khan Younis Union team in the Khan Younis stadium, which was destroyed along with most other sports fields in Gaza.

أقف أمامكم كشخص يحاول الحفاظ على عائلته. نحن نحاول العيش تحت الظروف البائسة في الخيام. من الصعب عليّ أن أجد الكلمات لوصف ما نواجهه كل يوم في غزة. لا طعام، لا دواء، لا مياه شرب نظيفة، قمع، عجز، ضغوط نفسية، شكوك، وصدمات يومية بسبب فقدان الأحباء. في غزة، ليس الأمر مجرد جوع ومرض وخوف؛ بل يعني الموت الفعلي.

تم نزوح أسرتي وأنا من منزلنا الذي دُمر والأن نحن نعيش في منطقة مواصي خانيونس .

قد تحملت أسرتي وأنا الكثير من الصعاب الاستثنائية في وقت قصير. حياتنا قد انقلبت رأسًا على عقب بسبب العنف المستمر في غزة. قبل هذا العدوان الأخير، كنت ألعب كرة القدم لفريق اتحاد خان يونس في ملعب خان يونس، الذي تم تدميره مع معظم الملاعب الرياضية الأخرى في غزة.

‎الأشهر الماضية كانت مليئة بالجحيم والرعب. هذه الحرب استمرت طويلاً، وصحتنا العقلية وحياتنا معرضة باستمرار للخطر. وصلنا إلى مرحلة لا يوجد فيها أمل بعد الآن في غزة وكأننا ننتظر الموت. حتى لو تم الوصول إلى وقف إطلاق النار، فإن الدمار في غزة بكل أشكاله لا يمكن إصلاحه بسرعة

أي مساهمة لي ولأسرتي ستساعدنا في إقامة مسكن مؤقت وتوفير الطعام والشراب لنا في ظل غلاء المعيشة الكبير جداً. سيكون المال أيضًا فارقًا كبيرًا بالنسبة لي ولأسرتي في جهود الإجلاء و ومجاراة هذا الوضع و غلاء المعيشة ، وسيضمن لنا بعض الأساس لمستقبلنا

The past months have been filled with hell and horror. This war has gone on for too long, and our mental health and lives are constantly at risk. We've reached a point where there is no more hope in Gaza, as if we are waiting for death. Even if a ceasefire is reached, the devastation in Gaza, in all its forms, cannot be quickly repaired.

Any contribution to me and my family will help us set up temporary shelter and provide us with food and drink amid the extremely high cost of living. The money will also make a significant difference to my family and me in our evacuation efforts and coping with this difficult situation and high cost of living, and will provide us with some foundation for our future.
