Israel in Times of Trouble

I'm expected to introduce myself to start off, but information about me is the least of your concerns. I'm here for Israel and the future of humanity, nothing else. Let me be absolutely clear that I am not speaking against Palestinians, Muslims, or anyone else with their beliefs. I am targeting the massacres of the disgusting individuals in Hamas and other terrorist groups, like ISIS.
On October 7th of 2023, Israel was blasted with over thousands of rockets from the Hamas terrorists under the span of an hour. This is not the first that Israel has experienced conflicts with Palestinians, Gaza, or even Hamas, but this time, things are different. Hamas has decimated the idea of morality and shred the definition of ethics to a meaningless pile of scraps. What should be a code that all individuals follow out of respect for the fact that we are all human has been annihilated by them with their view of morality as a personal choice.
The war has only been going on for only five days and already Israelis have been exposed to terrors worse than your most hideous nightmares. I am not talking about the inevitable tortures the soldiers go through to uphold the burden of war placed on them, although understanding of that reality is crucial. I am focusing on the civilians. Israeli corpses have been dragged, kicked, and abused by Hamas supporters as their friends record their deeds to be posted on the internet, demonstrating their pride in their disgusting actions. Babies, children, and seniors on top of average-aged citizens have been targeted and kidnapped with no clear guarantee of ever seeing their families again. Women have been raped and abused under their reign of terror. A video was posted of Hamas tearing a couple apart, forcing the girl’s boyfriend to watch as she rides away wailing in despair on the back of the Hamas’ motorcycles, followed by the execution of her boyfriend. Hamas has intruded on parties filled with teenagers and forced them to flee to an open field with nowhere to hide... while being under open fire. These terrorists have kidnapped mothers with their babies only to drag the mothers into Gaza while leaving infants in the outdoors to die. They have beheaded infants in front of their mothers, executed some of the last of the Holocaust survivors who have already went through so much torture, burnt people alive in their homes—our supposedly safe havens—and cleared entire communities with their gruesome tactics. If I were to tell you these instances outside of any context, you would think that I am speaking of twisted events taking place in the Middle Ages. A time that provided the epitome of death, chaos, and destruction, known worldwide for the savagery in them. But it’s happening now. In 2023. An age that we categorize so adoringly as a period of modernization, inclusion, equality, and improvements.
The terrorists’ twisted minds have somehow made it justifiable to set out to annihilate an entire people. Yes, war is ugly and complicated and confusing, but there is a difference between fighting for what you stand for and attempting to terrorize and persecute an entire nation. Hamas has crossed that line with seemingly no intent of turning back anytime soon. It seems that this time, Hamas is going for complete destruction. Hamas has taken it too far. Are we going to let a nation die in chaos and its citizens' petrified screams all because of our inability to realize that this does affect us?
It’ll only get worse from here. These trepidations are only through the work of Hamas. The future will become unimaginably more traumatizing once Hezbollah and ISIS get roped into this, and believe me, they will. So why continue to delay our proaction? Aren’t we the nation that prides in our privileges, advantages, and connections? Why not begin using this to good use? Let’s be more than a powerful nation sitting uselessly in the bleachers and cheering for such a targeted nation; let’s start doing something.
I know that I may receive hate for this page, but I will not back done in such a defining moment in history. I will not let this opportunity for change go by unnoticed. I. Will. Not. Be. Silenced.
The question is, will you join me?
This page is open for donation to the Israeli equivalent of the American Red Cross, the Magen David Adom program. It stands as an organization that will help heal those impacted civilians. Donate here for a change; for the lives that have been tainted irrevocably and for the many more that will inevitably as well.

It’s not about Jews against Muslims or Israelis against Palestinians. It’s about morality.
