Isobel Bladen: World Challenge 2020, Swaziland

In summer 2020, I will be going to Swaziland with my school for World Challenge.  I will be taking part in a community project, most likely based at a Neighbourhood Care Point (NCPs) or at a school. Swaziland has been greatly affected by HIV and AIDs and as a result there are 180,000 AIDs orphans in Swaziland. World Challenge works closely with NCPs to support orphaned and vulnerable children. Our project could involve tasks such as painting, construction, refurbishment, teaching, tree planting or conservation activities. We will also be trekking and learning more about Swaziland's culture and landscape, including Hlane Royal National Park and its wildlife. 

This summer, to contribute to my fundraising I will be running a marathon - 26.2 miles - over a week. I am planning to start and finish my marathon at my local parkrun in Tring on Saturday 27th July and Saturday 3rd August respectively. While I love to run, this is more miles than I have ever run before, so I would be very grateful to anyone who is able to sponsor me. Thank you!
