Hi, this is Kathy Melendez, Irma's stepmom.

Last night, our beloved Irma, lost her valiant battle with cancer.

10 weeks ago, the doctors told us that Irma's cancer had returned and had settled into numerous areas including multiple tumors in her brain. They didn't offer much of a treatment plan so Irma decided to take a homeopathic approach. She was determined to fight. She was young, strong and her Faith in our Lord never waivered.

We were caught off guard when Irma's final moments came. None of her family were prepared. Every single one of us believed that we would have more time together. But God decided to end her suffering and bring her Home to Him.

We are devastated by Irma's passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service and burial. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please continue to send prayers to Irma's family as we grieve our loss.
