Hello Everyone,
For those of you who may not know me, my name is Dr. Jessica Jamese Williams, and I am the CEO and co-founder of Golden Peaches, LLC. Golden Peaches is my brainchild that grew from a need to create coaching curriculums and interventions that helped people heal, align, and expand their capacity for leadership. Many people first became familiar with the work my work during the summer of 2020 when I created the Healing Dialogues series--an open forum community dialogue around topics that are typically taboo or difficult to discuss.

From there, I noticed that my work often lead me to places and spaces of discomfort; the uncomfortable elements that are often barriers to connection, engagement, belonging and inclusion. I embraced the name of Discomfort Doula and have been working steadily to build my business since making it official in April 2021.

Currently, I am in the process of working on four pieces that will help Golden Peaches, LLC expand and grow and I need the help of my community to get there.
  • The Golden Peaches Podcast--a weekly podcast featuring topics around wellness, health, intentionality, grief, pain, trauma and healing from the perspective of two imperfect practitioners. So many times we are intimidated by the healing process because it feels like we are doing it wrong, my co-host and I speak candidly about the growing pains of 30-something adulthood and how we are navigating it clumsily, but as best we can.
  • Wellness Workshops--coming to a city (or country) near you! Golden Peaches will be hosting opportunities to do in-depth healing and wellness work on featured topics such as Making Peace with Your Body, or Incorporating Art and Energy in Healing. I will partner with other wellness practitioners to facilitate workshops meant to help participants tackle these topics in a space that is affirming, nonjudgmental, and supportive of their wellness journey.
  • Marketing and Solicitation for Keynotes--Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to speak to many different professional communities about topics such as: navigating burnout, being imperfect practitioners of social justice and diversity work, embracing Queer identity at work, and empowering Black employees in professional settings, to name a few. Next year, I will be helping a Fortune 50 company begin their Black Employees Resource Group and serve as the keynote for their company-wide diversity and inclusion training.
  • I am writing a book! Currently, I do not have a literary agent or any sort of representation so, I am self-publishing and will look for distribution once the book is complete. There is something profoundly exciting about the idea of ownership of my words, and so self-publishing a hard-copy book written by a Southern Queer Fat Black Woman feels like a bit of a revolution in and of itself.

I am reaching out to my community for financial support because I was told recently that "I am worthy of investment." I have spent so much time doubting myself and coming up with excuses as to why I should be able to fund my own projects in a myriad of different ways, but the truth of the matter is, This step feels like what I am SUPPOSED to be doing. It feels aligned that in building something that I know will support and uplift my community, I should be able to go to my community for assistance. Also, I deeply appreciate the ways in which so many of my community members have asked how they can be of more support of my vision because they want more content. That is always exciting to me. I want to write a book for you all, but the truth of the matter is, I have to eat and I have to pay rent, and the hustle takes up space and energy.

So for anyone who ever wanted more of my words, to anyone who ever felt seen or heard, or affirmed by something I posted, wrote, tweeted, told you in casual conversation or in a DM-this is your opportunity to support me in kind. I am asking not only for financial support but for you to share this with your network. My work is always available on my website

The money I am asking for is for the business, of course, marketing and social media costs, the costs of a website, boosted posts on socials, advertising, canva pro to create marketing, an editor for the book, publishing costs for design, photography, materials, etc. Also, I want to be upfront in noting that the money will also go towards my own personal care and wellness. I have learned that as a leader, self care is not selfish, it is vital. In order to be of best use to those whom I have committed to leading, I need to have the best tools and that means my vessel must be healthy. I must be fed, safe, healthy, and sound. So please know that I have budgeted for all of these in my ask.

Other ways to support other than donating? Share my website! www.JessicaJamese.com which has all of my booking information for speaking, writing, and facilitation. Share my calendly! Book Dr J for one-on-one coaching sessions.

Thank you all so much for your continued love and support of me and my work. I truly feel that this is what I am supposed to be doing in the world, helping people heal and grow to be more empowered. Leading people back to themselves. I could not do this work without your support, love, encouragement, and financial backing.
