Help Invest in Collin's Career Goals for Schooling
Donation protected
Hello! I'm a 17-year-old, with planning, goal setting, and resources, ready to launch myself into my career path. My name is Collin, and I need assistance to help me move forward. I graduate in May of 2025 at 17 years old. I do not turn 18 until October of this year. I want to start my path right after I get that diploma so I can get a head start on my career goal.
Getting a job at my age with limited job experience is challenging. No employer is going to pay a 17-year-old more than $20/hr. So far, I have not yet gotten a position anywhere. I have been consistently looking for work for the past year. At this point, I am filling out applications for scholarships to help me with my career path.
The reason I am asking for assistance is that I have a career path in a trade, and I have certificates from a Welding fabrication class at my high school. I have been attending this class for four years, preparing me for the future and the big decisions that come with it. I am planning to go to a welding trade school as soon as I graduate. The school is not cheap! Until I turn 18, it still seems like it would be hard for me to land a part-time job to pay for other schooling and all the necessities, i.e., gas, insurance, food, etc. I am not looking for a hand out, I am looking for a hand up!
If you'd like to invest in my career goals, I would greatly appreciate it.
Best Regards,
Collin
