Many of you will know that every year my team and I travel to Samoa to operate on people less-fortunate than ourselves, providing vital reconstructive surgery.

In the past these visits have been fully-funded by various organisations. But times are tough and this year the coffers are empty. Without additional funding the trip is unlikely for 2025 and so many patients in Samoa will not be able to have the surgery they need.

My team and I have been providing this service for over 15 years and have operated on hundreds of children and adults suffering from birth defects, burn-related injuries, cancers, and other life-altering deformities.
