The three-month School of Peace 2017  started on July 15 in Indonesia.  This is a three-month living/learning experience for young people from around Asia.  They represent different faiths, ethnicities and nationalities.  Through the experience of the School of Peace, they are challenged to recognize the assumptions they have of others who are different and seek a deeper understanding of them through dialogue and engagement.  School of Peace provides them the opportunity to transform themselves and then return to their country and community and work for transformation there.  

Room and board costs are approximately US$20 per day for each participant.  Most participants do not come from large organizations so do not have the ability to pay their own way so scholarships are offered to them.  

Even though many participants do not come from large organizations, they have proven themselves to be deeply committed to working for interfaith justpeace in their local communities.

Contributions are needed to help make it possible for these youth to participate in this year's School of Peace.
