Instead of wedding bells.. medical bills

Hey everyone, Jonathan and I were in motorcycle accident while celebrating our engagement and vacationing in Bali. We turned a corner where there was loose gravel and sand causing the bike to slip. Jonathan slid across the pavement with the bike on top of him. I was thrown from the bike, landing with all my weight on one knee. We were immediately send to the nearest clinic, then an ambulance took us to the hospital where our wounds were cleaned as best as they could be. Doctors in Bali suggested I get surgery there, however Jonathan and I were unsure. After consulting with doctor and nurse friends from back home, we decided to do everything we could to just get home. After a 20 hour travel day, we made it home safely. We went straight from the airport to the ER where we were both evaluated and underwent several tests/exams. Jonathan’s entire right side and other parts of his body are really scraped up, and I have an open wound to the knee. I am being watched carefully for infection, and have a list of appointments over the next few days. To all our friends and family who have reached out and shown support, we love and thank you more than you know. Instead of paying for a wedding, we will be paying medical bills. It’s hard for us to ask for help, but we would appreciate anything to help us get through this tough time.
