Installation of Moose Lake Disc Golf Course

Donation protected
As some, or most, of you may know, one of my passions is the sport of disc golf. I started playing out at camp with an ultimate frisbee when I was in Jr High and there weren't a lot of courses around. Now I carry about 20 different discs when I play and there are courses everywhere! Everywhere that is, except near where I live. A little over 2 years ago I set out to get a course installed in or around the city of Moose Lake. I spoke with the city, who didn't have the land or the money. I spoke with Carlton County, who wouldn't give me the time of day. Then I reached out to the Moose Lake School and asked about installing a professionally designed (by Cale Leiviska) 18 hole disc golf course on their land, and finally someone was as excited as I was about the idea. I spent the last two years working with the superintendent, the community education department, and the school board, answering questions and attending meetings to ensure that everything was just right for everyone involved. It all finally came together last night when the school board voted in favor of me fundraising on behalf of the school to pay for the design and installation of the course!! This is a huge step and I couldn't be more excited!
Now the real work of raising the funds begins, hopefully followed very quickly by the real work of installing the course. This is an awesome opportunity and I can't wait to bring disc golf to my community and the students at Moose Lake!
If you own a business, or know of a business that would be interested in sponsorship or donations, please let me know!
Fundraising Goal Breakdown:
$12,000 for design and materials
$3,000 for signage
$3,000+ for potential equipment rental and future maintenance or additional features
As of right now I am looking at anything over $1,000 sponsorship getting a single business the advertisement on a tee sign for one of the holes. I'm still looking for ways to recognize donations outside of hole sponsors at any donation amount. There will also be opportunity for larger sponsorships on the course overview sign that will be located near the first tee.
