Update
Opening: end of November 2022
Neutral space for community visitors to celebrate the life and time of Late T.D. and Senator Billy Fox.
Someone who crossed all division within the community, was everyone's friend and a forerunner for Peace & Reconciliation in Northern Ireland.
This project needs €28,000 more raised to help complete it. Due to the Pandemic we only raised €16,000 (approximately €5250 of which we got from the good people on this very site), so we are appealing for more donations.

Billy was the first Oireachtas member to lose his life in the Northern troubles followed by T.D. Ciaran Doherty.
The total cost of project to upgrade facilities to install wheelchair access, W.C & kitchen facilities, heating & electric systems, re-roofing & insulating will amounts to €450k and we have secured €174,500 from leaders.
Nearby is Billy Fox Memorial Park, a beautiful spot to reflect in the nature of the stony grey soil.
We are seeking contributions on a GO Fund me page, big or small, all greatly appreciated so that we can save this historic building and preserve the contribution made locally, nationally and in Northern Ireland of the late Billy Fox. This will be a neutral space for community, cross community and traditions of all persons.
This building can be traced back to 865AD with its original origins as a Franciscan monastery.
