In Loving Memory of Susan Rynkar

Susan, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, passed on August 28th of 2015 after a two year battle with cancer. She fought hard and bravely and never once complained. She was determined to make it to her only daughter's wedding and celebrate with her family. She loved reading books to her Grandchildren and playing with the younger ones, even as it got harder to get on the floor with them. She was there for her oldest to the youngest grandchildrens's births, celebrations and everything in between!
Susan fought cancer as she lived her life - always thinking of others first and not wanting to upset her family when things got tough. Her friends and family will always remember her smile first as it lit up the room at parties and family gatherings during the “good times”. She had a deep faith in God, and made it a part of her everyday life. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Mercy League, and feverously supported Catholic School Education.
After 30 years of raising her children, she went back to school to get her master's degree and follow her passion. She worked and volunteered in local community libraries including Uniondale Public Library, Shelter Rock and East Williston Library. Her and Bob enjoyed to travel, visiting Ireland and Germany most recently. As well as countless Adirondack car rides together as she liked to remind Bob to keep his eyes on the road.

Susan's passion for her Children and Grandchildren truly stood out. Her patience, smile, and love for them will always live on through her family and be remembered. We chose this Children's charity to honor Susan's love and bond she had with own Children and Grandchildren.

We hope to see you on October 22nd to celebrate the "good times" of Sue's life and support children that are fighting the fight of their life!
