Stratton St Margaret Parish Council is Running (and Bouncing!) the Inflatable 5K for Sands – Please Support Us!
This October, we’re taking on something a little out of the ordinary — the Inflatable 5K Challenge!
This isn’t just a regular run — it’s a wild, inflatable obstacle course, and we’ll be tackling it as a team of staff and our children. That’s right — our families are getting involved too, running side-by-side to support a truly meaningful cause.
We're raising money for Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) — a charity that provides support for anyone affected by the death of a baby, improves bereavement care, and works to reduce baby loss.
Why Sands?
Too many families experience the heartbreak of losing a baby. Sands offers:
- Compassionate bereavement support
- Crucial research funding into stillbirth and neonatal death
- Campaigns to improve maternity care and outcomes
Their work touches the lives of thousands — offering hope, support, and a path forward in the darkest times.
Our Commitment
As a Parish Council, we’re committed to supporting causes that truly matter to our community. Whether you’ve been affected personally, know someone who has, or simply want to help prevent other families from going through this pain — your donation can make a real difference.
Our Goal: £1,000
Every pound raised will go directly to Sands to support families here in Swindon and across the UK.
Whether it’s £2, £20 or more, every donation counts. And if you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this page with friends, family, or on social media to help spread the word.
Let’s turn every bounce, sprint, and stumble into something powerful — Hope for grieving families, and support when it’s needed most.
Thank you so much for your support,
The Stratton St Margaret Parish Council Team
