Day School meeting expenses

I am a survivor of the Indian Day School experience.  We (Tsartlip Indian Day school survivors) need to meet with the lawyers (from Ottawa) representing us.  We (5 First Nations whose children attended the Tsartlip Indian Day School) have scheduled a meeting in our territory, but we need to have access to a large enough meeting space, and to have some food available for all the attendee participants.  This is a one day meeting, but we are sure to have anywhere from 200-400 student survivors and their extended families showing up for this meeting. 

The funds will cover the cost of preparing for the meeting, paperwork related to notifying all survivors, rental of a meeting space complete with all that is needed for the meeting, the hiring of a cook, and the purchasing of food for the cook to prepare a meal for all participants.

We need the funds by Mid August of 2018.  This support means everything to the surviving students and their families.  We all have been through such horrific abuse and we need to share our stories with the lawyers.

I will be so grateful should we receive the support we need for this very important meeting.  I am positive that all the surviving students will be appreciative as well.  This meeting is an important step, as it will help us to begin our healing process.

We are willing to receive both credit card donations and debit card donations to reach our goal.
