Legal Fees: Justice for Deshayla Harris

Hi, My name is Renee Harris. On March 26, 2021, we lost my daughter DeShayla Harris to gun violence down at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Her killer has yet to be identified. That evening was described by Virginia Beach Police as a chaotic night. 8 people were injured. Donovon Lynch was also murdered that evening, but at the hands of the VBPD. He was killed approximately 500 feet away from DeShayla. After DeShayla was murdered my family found out about her death via Facetime from Deshayla’s girlfriend. Virginia Beach Police left DeShayla’s body on the ground for hours, without contacting my family. It was not until Tuesday, March 30th that a detective came to my home and notified me of DeShayla’s death. On this same day he delivered her belongings. I truly need the help of the community in rallying together to demand Justice for DeShayla. Although there are numerous cameras down at the Oceanfront, the police have continued denying having any video evidence from that evening. We are asking for your support for legal fees as we continue to fight for answers as to what happened on the evening of March 26, 2021.
The funds from this Go Fund Me will be used in an independent investigation so that we can finally determine what happened to my baby, DeShayla Harris. We are desperately seeking answers. Any donations will be greatly appreciated to help find out what happened to DeShayla.
