In Support of WOMAN LIFE FREEDOM

We are a small group of Canadian-Iranian women who stand in solitary with the women's rights movement in Iran.

For the past two months, the Islamic Republic has brutally squashed unarmed protesters after the violent death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini on September 13, 2022, in the hands of the "Morality Police" for improperly wearing her head scarf.

The people of Iran have since stood fearlessly to protest against the Islamic Republic and the stringent laws under which they have been forced to live for the past 43 years. The people of Iran are protesting for freedom of expression and freedom of speech. In response, the Islamic Republic has been torturing, raping and killing innocent people who have taken to the streets to ask for their basic fundamental human rights. Further, the Islamic Regime has also shut down the internet to block the world from seeing what is happening in Iran. We need to be their voice.

To create awareness and to continue the international pressure on the Islamic Republic, we plan to:

- secure billboard spaces in high-traffic areas within Toronto and the GTA

- host a large awareness event in downtown Toronto

- run sponsored ads on social media
