Hello everyone, Ross and Natalie here, doing this on behalf of our parents. As many of you know, our father has been recovering from an invasive kidney surgery and has had a complication due to infection. He is out of work now for the next month or so on the basis of both lifting restrictions post surgery and the pain he is still coping with. He has used all of his paid and sick leave to be with our mom during her treatments and final days and we have to wait a few more weeks before his half-pay benefits kick in in the short term. We hate to do this, but we also want to make sure we're able to afford cremation and making a memorial service that's fitting of her honor and legacy (Date TBD). We talked with the most economical organization for cremation today and it's already nearing 2,000$ with bare minimum selections. We also are hoping to generate some money to sustain us until my dad gets back to work full-time after his infection resolves and his kidney is back up and running.
