In January 2022, Eddie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma and was given a 50/50 chance of survival. As with most things, he took it on the chin and began his battle against this horrible disease with a 3-month intense course of chemotherapy. The outlook was positive, and even his hair began to grow back (he loved his hair). Unfortunately, this wasn't to last and on 4th November 2022, Eddie lost his brave battle. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.

The support of all the doctors and Nurses was exceptional; they all loved the kind man they had come to know and often shared a joke or two with him. We would like to raise funds in particular for Macmillan, whose task is, for the most part, a constant uphill struggle, dealing with patients and their families affected by this disease every day, and yet they do it with a smile. There are not enough of them to go around, so we hope that, in some way, we can help make a difference in Eddie's memory. Thank you for reading this and your donation on behalf of a wonderful man.
