On April 14th, Reid Hance suddenly passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. 

Reid’s wife Melissa and his boys; Liam and Luke are grieving the loss of an exceptional man, husband and father. They are in disbelief and hurting everywhere. Their hearts are broken, and they cannot imagine their life without him. Reid was such a bright light, he was everyone’s friend, he loved the outdoors, he loved his family.  Liam, Luke and Melissa will miss him in everything they do, every day.

I know Reid is up above rooting for Melissa and the boys, believing in them, guiding them and keeping them safe.

How do you get through the hardest time in your life? Family. Friends. Community.

If you know the Hance’s then you know how much they’ve contributed in our community to make all our lives richer. This family has gone above and beyond for those around them, they are dedicated to giving back, raising money, bringing joy and helping make their community incredible. Providing for his family was Reid’s top priority.

I hope we can now return the favour and help their family in a time of need. Please consider contributing what you can to help Melissa during this difficult time.

“Many hands make light work” and “it takes a village to raise a child” are mantras that many of us believe. We say these things, but today they have a greater meaning for a few of our closest neighbours and friends.
