In Loving Memory of Lyle — Lifting Kim in Love and Support

Hello, everyone! I’m Sophia! I am the granddaughter of Lyle and Kimberly Greiner :)

If you knew my grandpa, you knew joy. Lyle was the kind of man who didn’t just show up; he absolutely poured into people. He was our rock, a provider, and the one who knew exactly how to bring light into the room when life felt heavy. Goofy, kind-hearted, and faith-filled, he lived each day with purpose, minute by minute, choosing to trust in God no matter what the day brought.

On March 28, 2007, while on the job, my grandpa suffered a life-altering accident that left him in a coma for 29 days. By God’s grace, he woke up on Easter morning, but the road ahead would require unimaginable strength. Still, he never gave up. He pressed on, not just surviving, but continuing to love and serve his family with everything he had left in him. My grandpa was thankfully given 18 more years of life following this accident. Through his long recovery and beyond, he showed up for my grandma, Kim, his children, and his grandchildren in every way that mattered. He was the best grandpa anyone could ever ask for.

We recently had to say goodbye to my grandpa Lyle. His passing has left a hole in our hearts, especially for my grandma, who now faces not only grief and the loss of her best friend, but overwhelming financial burdens, funeral expenses, medical bills, and housing costs that are pressing in from all sides.

If you know my grandma, you know she has a quiet strength and a heart of absolute gold. She is certainly not one to ask for help, but right now, she truly needs it. And I am asking on her behalf. Any kind of help would lift a tremendous weight off of her shoulders and give her the space she needs to grieve at her own pace. :)

Our God is so close to the brokenhearted, and I truly believe He uses people like us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in moments like this. Thank you for taking the time to read. God bless. ❤️
