On behalf of the family of Elias (“Eliar”) Real Hernandez, we are asking for support during an incredibly painful and devastating time.
On April 3, 2026, Elias Real was shot and killed by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers. He was 40 years old. According to information and video evidence secured by the family, Elias was walking away from officers when he was shot multiple times in the back and while on the ground.
This tragic loss has left behind a grieving 17-year-old son, his mother, and five siblings who are now facing an unimaginable void.
Elias was more than this incident — he was a father, a son, a brother, and a human being whose life mattered deeply. His family is now left to navigate the emotional devastation during these difficult times.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as to provide immediate and ongoing support for his son and family as they grieve and seek justice.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread awareness and support.
Thank you for standing with the Real family, honoring Elias’s life, and helping support those he loved most.
