Illegally seized dog

I have been fighting the city of Northglenn in appeals to save my illegally seized dog and have now filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Northglenn and Adams County. Baby is now 6 years old but was taken when he was 5 and has been illegally held at the Adams county animal shelter for slightly over a year and a half. He was placed in the Adams County Shelter on September 26, 2014 as a stray after law enforcement broke down the door to the home he was living at (my ex's home). They also took my other dog Eva and her puppies from the house, but they let me have them back a few days later. In February of 2015 they called me and told me that he was released and I could go and pick him up. I went to go pick him up (3 times) and was refused his release. Northglenn then proceeded to hold an illegal civil hearing on his disposition (i.e. whether he should be released or killed). The Northglenn judge stated he needed to be euthanized based on hearsay from the animal shelter about his temperament . I appealed, however the city ordered me to pay $7 a day for him while I appealed the euthanasia order. Even though I am a 100% disabled veteran and single mother of two children, I have managed to pay this $7 fee on my own via credit cards. About a month ago I reached out to a local animal attorney. This attorney agrees that the actions of the state entities involved (Northglenn and Adams county) has all been done illegally. After borrowing from my sister (and receiving some funds via another fundraising site) the retainer fee of $2000 for the attorney has been paid. However now that the lawsuit is filed, I still owe that borrowed money AND need to pay the $7 daily fee, as well as have to replenish the lawyers account as drafting the lawsuit has used the majority of that retainer.

I am asking for contributions so that I can continue the fight for my dog, whom to me is not replaceable. This case was not about the dog, it was an oppressive, illegal action that infringed upon my constitutional rights to punish me and to kill a dog based on fear and ignorance. This could happen to any citizen who owns a pet and unless I stand up, and fight for what is right it just might. Please help me save my dog from this illegal euthanasia order. My kids and I miss our dog!
