Help ICS travel to Youth Awards
The Independence Charter School Engineering Team took part in the NEED Youth Awards Competition and won Pennsylvania Rookie School of Year now we have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C to take part in Youth Awards Finals.

I teach at a community-based K-8 public charter school centrally located in Philadelphia and serving a diverse community of learners. We provide an intellectually-stimulating curriculum with a global focus designed to develop independent, thoughtful global citizens. We have a unique Spanish immersion blend at our school.
My students at ICS are an ever-curious bunch, they want to ask probing questions not just about their social environment, but about how the world works and have a genuine interest in STEM.

The student's project took over six months to complete where they learned about different forms of engineering. They created a city from recycled materials and then started and finished designing a green roof for our school. The students put over 100 hours of in school class time plus another 150 hours of out of school time into this project.

We need these donations to take as many students as possible to travel to Washington DC to present this project and have once a lifetime opportunity.
Thank You
Teacher Greg and ICS Engineering Team
