Brad & Tori Volunteer Abroad

Tori and I are planning to volunteer our Spring Break to volunteer abroad in Montezuma, Costa Rica. This trip is a 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week type of volunteer experience. There I plan on practicing my exisiting Spanish skills and Tori plans on developing hers further. We will volunteer to help protect the native sea turtle population by staffing the turtle hatchery, patrolling beaches for sea turtles, collecting their eggs, and monitoring the hatchery nests. We will also be participating in beach clean ups throughout the trip to protect the habitat of the turltes. Not only will we physically be helping the native population, but we will be spreading awareness by providing information on the conservation efforts to locals and tourists.
