Volunteer Photography for iFLY Youth Columbia Trip

Hi, my name is Gina and I'm the owner and photographer for Leanila Baptiste Photography. I'm volunteering my photography services for nonprofit organization iFLY Youth 's annual trip to Cartagena, Columbia. I'm raising money to help offset the costs of my travel. 

iFLY Youth exposes middle school aged girls of color in the Washington, DC area to leadership development, character building and international travel. They prioritize girls who normally wouldn't have the opportunity to travel due to financial restraint.


As someone who's passionate about photography, I believe that part of my purpose is to use my gift to serve others. I volunteer/gift photography services at least four times throughout the year. See some of that work here: http://bit.ly/The-Greatest-Gina 

I interviewed the founder of iFLY Youth last year and was moved by the organization's mission and purpose. She explained that while their first trip to Costa Rica was successful, she wasn't able to capture the experience through photography. The importance of capturing these trips can translate into donations and support of the organization. People need to see the impact that these trips are having in young girls lives.


This will be the first time that my volunteer services will lend itself to an international service opportunity. This means that in addition to volunteering my photography service, I will also need to come out of my pocket to cover the cost of traveling and staying abroad during this experience.


I'm requesting your support to help me offset the cost of travel to provide this volunteer opportunity to iFLY Youth, an organization that I deeply believe in and support. No amount of money donated is too small ($1, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100) -- every donation counts and is appreciated!
