I Am Sylvia es un musical que da voz a una figura histórica fundamental: Sylvia Rivera, mujer trans, latina y activista incansable por los derechos LGBTQ+. Su vida fue una mezcla de lucha, amor, dolor y resistencia. Sin embargo, como muchas personas que han vivido al margen, Sylvia ha sido invisibilizada en los relatos oficiales de la historia.

I Am Sylvia is a musical that gives voice to a vital historical figure: Sylvia Rivera, a trans Latina woman and tireless activist for LGBTQ+ rights. Her life was a journey of struggle, love, pain, and resistance. And yet, like so many who have lived on the margins, Sylvia has been erased from the official narratives of history.
This musical does more than honor her memory, it shines a light on all those voices the system has tried to silence.
