BLM - Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust

My name is Samuel Travis and I am a young composer.

The recent lockdown due to COVID-19 and the murder of George Floyd and many other members of the black community, have left many deeply hurt, either by mental health or the recognition of a huge injustice to a huge community of people and it is very important to recognise that racism is present in Britain too. I wrote this song earlier this year and I felt that the words resonated with the current global situation. It would mean a lot to me, but more to those who are supported by this charity, if you donated and helped raise the £1000.

More information about The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust: The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust was founded on the premise that inequality must be tackled in all its forms. This includes inequality of access, and of opportunity, wherever it occurs. We are dedicated to transforming the life chances of young people and improving the world in which they live to enable them to develop and nurture their talent.
