The CDOA is a non-profit organization that supports the goals and objectives of residents of Ontario who are of the Commonwealth of Dominica origin or descent, and work to promote Dominican culture, and the betterment of Dominica.

"The strongest hurricane ever to make landfall in Dominica"
Hurricane damage is not a linear thing.
- at category 3, it is 50X the category 1 damage
- at category 4, it is 250x the category 1 damage;
- at category 5, it is 500x the category 1 damage!
Dominica suffered about 30 known fatalities, many people are still missing, and there were numerous casualties across the island. There has been extensive damage to the country's infrastructure, its business capacity, and educational institutions.
Dominica desperately needs your very generous help!
The funds that you contribute will be directed toward a number of specific causes--educational, health and community development. We will work with the Government of Dominica to clarify those needs.
We will use funds as we have done before to pay for shipping containers of supplies--we get preferred rates but there is always cost involved. As we did for TS Erika, we shipped three containers of high-value tools, equipment and supplies, to help individuals across the country to re-establish their livelihoods. We hope to do the same, and more, again. Our second container has been dispatched and we are working on a third.
