Hurricane Supplies for Shelters

As you all know by now, Texas has been hit by a destructive hurricane. Cities from Corpus Christi, Rockport and Houston have been devastated. It is the largest natural disaster to hit the U.S. The city’s officials are overwhelmed by the amount of people needing help at this time and are equally depending on its citizens to help in the rescue and aid process.

As a Texan, and a proud Houstonian, sitting by and watching my neighbors in need is not an option. While FEMA and the Red Cross are doing an amazing job housing the displaced residents of our cities, they need supplies. While the main shelters are well stocked (the George R. Brown center, NRG Stadium etc), Red Cross is opening up smaller shelters across the Houston area to continue to accommodate the people coming in. These smaller shelters need supplies depending on the people that arrive. Some shelters need more food and baby products, while others maybe housing more elderly. They are posting the supplies they need donated. I would like to help in any way I can, and this is one of them.

I will be donating my own money and will also be gathering money to go out and get the supplies that are needed for the shelters. The process (buying the supplies that are needed), along with the delivery of said products will be broadcasted live to ensure every one of your loving dollar amounts has been accounted for in the way you wanted it to be. Every dollar helps, but you can also donate to the Red Cross instead:

Here is the list of supplies that the shelters will need and what I will be getting:
