HURRICANE RELIEF AND RECOVERY FUND
The people of Southwest Louisiana know how to take care of themselves, and each other. Once in a while, though, hurricanes and floods require them to reach out for a little help to recover.

Hurricane Laura has done just that.

Please contribute to this relief fund benefiting the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana via the Baton Rouge Area Foundation (BRAF).

Any donation will help make an impact and through September 15, 2020, Miles Partnership will match donations received on this page up to $5,000 total. 

At the start, the disaster grants pay for food, shelter, medicine, and all the other necessities that help stabilize those in most immediate need. Then they shift to making grants for long-term recovery and, perhaps more importantly, for making people and places more resilient for the next time disaster visits.

To achieve our mission, we serve our donors to build the assets that drive initiatives and solutions; engage community leaders to develop appropriate responses to emerging opportunities and challenges; partner with entities from our service area, as well as with other community foundations, in order to leverage our collective resources and create the capacity to be a stimulus of positive regional change; and, evaluate our work and share the results with our stakeholders.
